図書館で借りてきた本、その１。ヴォネガットのエッセイ集。わりに軽いしサクサク読めるかと美容院に持っていったのだが、全然読めなかった(泣)。悔しいので帰宅後、一気読み。ブッシュ政権に対する痛切な批判が多し。ヘタウマ調の墓のイラストや自画像がいい味出してます。

Human beings are chimpanzees who get crazy drunk on power. By saying that our leaders are power-drunk chimpanzees, am I in danger of wrecking the morale of our soldiers fighting and dying in the Middle East? Their morale, like so many lifeless bodies, is already shot to pieces. They are being treated, as I never was, like toys a kid got for Christmas.
